Education and Thriving Youth

After several years supporting new donors to define their purposeful giving priorities and move to action, Becky Crowe and I have heard a common theme: “Giving in the field of education and thriving youth is complex, and we don’t know where to begin.” We developed the map below to help new donors and their advisors navigate the complex education landscape.

The idea that one has to become an education expert to have a big impact in this space keeps dollars on the sidelines at a time when we urgently need to increase investment to support children from birth to a successful launch into adulthood.

This map is part of a toolkit of support (simple starter guides, 1-1 advising, and learning sessions) to create more efficient on-ramps for philanthropic advisors and donors who want to expand their giving to enable young people to thrive. We are working toward broadening the base of high-impact donors giving to education and thriving youth.
